Gandhinagar, Wednesday: In Junagadh, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced development works of Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Porbandar districts worth Rs.4155.17 crore.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi while addressing a large public meeting held at Agricultural University in Junagadh said that the lands of ‘Sinh’ and ‘Narsinh’ have the potential to become the tourism capital of Junagadh.
The land of Gir has the power to attract people from all over the country. The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the two-engine government’s speedy implementation of development work in Gujarat and mentioned the various schemes implemented by the central and state governments to transform the lives of fishermen along with development of coastal areas. It presented a fruitful picture of human benefits at the end of the welfare schemes of the Center for the development of Gujarat and the entire coast. He thanked everyone for that.
The Prime Minister openly said that the budget for the development of Gir Somnath, Porbandar districts is many times more than the budget of the entire state. These three regions have the potential to become the tourism capital of the entire state. The whole world wants to hear the roar of Gir lions and that roar is the roar of Gujarat. The airport in Keshod will also be developed. Work will also be done to expand the airstrip to view the Girnar lions.
The development of the big city is like giving the saving land of Junagadh to the forest land of Girnar. I want to develop in the land of saints and knights, temples, Dattatreya, Jainacharyas and bring the people of the world here. Madhavpur nationalized the Gheda Mela. The construction of Asia’s largest ropeway allows mechanics to easily visit Amba. Girin Kesar mango exports have reached the whole world.
The Prime Minister said with pleasure that these coastal districts have received the gift of development work in the field of self-employment opportunities for fishermen, livestock keepers and farmers before Diwali. Although Gujarat has the country’s longest coastline of 1,600 km, coastal highways and coastal connectivity are developing in this area.
Sagarkhedu Yojana was launched to make fishermen-sagarkhedu prosperous. Sagarkhedu is provided with security-object-business infrastructure. Gujarat’s fish exports have increased sevenfold in 20 years. Our Surmai Fish have become very popular in Japan. The dual engine of central and state government welcomes the Arabian Sea region. Drought and water problems in Saurashtra are a thing of the past thanks to the Sauni Yojana. Now Narmada has reached our yard, and after 2001, nature has become kinder and it has rained. Thanks to this, the fields of farmers have become greener and richer. Farmers across the state, including Junagadh district, are turning to organic farming.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the government is committed to ensuring that women live with dignity. Construction of latrines has prevented health related problems and has become a boon for women. He congratulated the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for the Ujjwala scheme to make women smoke free and its perfect implementation. Through the PradhanMantri Matru Vandana Yojana for women, the government is also thinking about women and her child during pregnancy. During pregnancy, the mother’s body does not lose nutrients and the child is not disabled, the child is born healthy, the future of India is bright. Mudra Yojana provides unsecured loans, more than 70 percent of which are availed by women, so that women become self-reliant by getting employment.
The buzz of Digital India, Make India is echoing across India. The Prime Minister said that the Gujarat government has achieved development in various fields. Gujarat is constantly scaling the heights of progress. He congratulated the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for giving two bottles of free gas to the poor so that Diwali could be well celebrated in the homes of the poor.
In Junagadh, the land of Rishi, Narsinh and Sinh, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel welcomed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and said that a new chapter in the development of the coastal area of Gujarat is ready to begin. Earlier suffering from successive droughts, the development saga initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi received God’s grace and Gujarat has developed today.

Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel said that the development work done by Lokarshi, Rajarshi and popular leader Narendra Modi will take Saurashtra to new heights. Shri Narendra Modi gave Saurashtra a welfare scheme like Sauni Yojana through which today Gujarat has become green and prosperous. Be it the cable car at Girnar, the foundation stone of the Ram temple at Ayodhya or the annexation of Kashmir to India, the Prime Minister has completed many such monumental works and taken the country to new heights of progress.
Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Animal Husbandry, Shri Deva Malam said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the state has reached a new peak in our two-engine government. To develop tourism in Junagadh district, Narendra Modi gifted the ropeway soon after he became the prime minister.
MP Shri Rajesh Chudasma said that the golden sun rose in three districts of Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Porbandar. The Prime Minister announced many improvement works in these regions. The ropeway over Girnar was built according to the Prime Minister. Devotees young and old can now have Amba’s darshan. The central government has established the first state level office of Coconut Development Board in this area so that it can benefit from this coastal region. A lot of assistance was given by the state for the development of ports.
On the occasion, MP and former Minister Shri Jawahar Chawda presented the experiences of rural life and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, public welfare has found new dimensions in the country. At the same time, farmers got a lot of relief as the cloud cover was good this year.
